Joshua Shea: What should a person do after learning their partner has a porn addiction?
Our next guest is Joshua Shea. Nobody has given more interviews than me about pornography addiction in the world since 2018. He’s a Certified Betrayal Trauma Coach, a Pornography Addiction Expert/Author, and a TEDx Talk Speaker. With over 200 interviews on radio, TV, print and podcasts since 2018, Joshua has publicly talked more about porn addiction than any other person on Earth. He focuses on his story, a bunch of eye-opening statistics and specific knowledge of pornography addiction to share the message that this truly is “The Addiction Nobody Wants to Talk About.” His second book, the 2019 release “He’s a Porn Addict…Now What?” and an updated version of his 2018 memoir, “The Addiction Nobody Talks About” is now available through Amazon or his website at Paddictrecovery.com. His newest book, “Porn and Pandemic: How Three Months in 2020 Changed Everything” was released in Summer 2020. He is a certified betrayal trauma coach and works with many betrayed partners of pornography addicts in a one-on-one capacity.
We find out why Emerson College was the right place for Joshua, more about his story on porn addiction, how his family and professional contacts reacted to him serving six months in jail because of his addiction, what’s wrong with looking at pornography, how the COVID-19 pandemic changed the landscape of online pornography, why non-addicts should really care about porn addiction, what a person can do after learning their partner has an addiction, what we need to do for the next generation of kids to not end up as addicted as the current generation, and where our listeners can go to get more resources about pornography addiction.
