Trevon Bryant: What do men really mean when they say they are fine?

Today we have with us Trevon Bryant! Trey was a college football player with dreams of playing in the NFL when he suffered a traumatic knee injury tearing his ACL, MCL, both medial and lateral meniscus and patellar tendon all in one snap. His life changed in an instance and he had to figure out a way to reinvent himself. Trey started a motivational speaking company called “Talking with Trey” and is sharing his message and uplifting people around the world.

In episode 249 of the Fraternity Foodie Podcast, we find out how growing up in a single-parent household and his height started insecurities for him at an early age with comparisons to your friends, why he decided to play football for the University of New Hampshire’s Division 1 program, how his traumatic knee injury happened where he tore the ACL, MCL, both medial and lateral meniscus, and patellar tendon, how he struggled with suicidal ideation, depression, and anxiety, what he means by “I embraced me and that’s why I’m free”, how daily affirmations have helped him, how students find the time to cook healthy foods at home and get into daily exercise, what is the impact of social media on today’s college students, and what he enjoys most as Residential Hall Director at UNH. Enjoy!
