Rob Lawless: What did you learn on your quest to meet 10,000 strangers?

Rob Lawless had a simple goal. It was simply to meet 10,000 strangers. He believes that genuine human connection is something important in today’s world and it’s also something that makes him happy. This journey is his way of leading by example. If anything, his hope is to encourage others to take the initiative to reach out to someone new and be open to establishing new relationships, which I believe is a very important lesson in the world of fraternity and sorority recruitment.

In episode #162 of the Fraternity Foodie Podcast, we learn why Rob chose Penn State University, what the guys were like at Beta Theta Pi, how he powered through cold emailing prospects, how Robs 10K Friends started out, how he managed to get interviews with Ryan Seacrest, Kelly Clarkson, and the Today Show, how companies have sponsored him in the past, how the project changed during the pandemic, what lessons fraternity and sorority members can learn from this project, the most memorable meeting he had, and his choice for the best Philly Cheesesteak in Philadelphia. Enjoy!
