Check out episode # 64 of Fraternity Foodie! We have with us a longtime friend of Greek University, Mel Lewis. Mel was born and raised in Middletown, New Jersey, a founding member of Alpha Omicron Pi at Ramapo College of New Jersey where she also went on to be Panhellenic Council President. She went on to earn a Master’s Degree from Monmouth University in Higher Education, then worked as a higher education professional, and then made the transition into a fraternity headquarters by working for Alpha Chi Rho as Director of Education and Programs. Mel loves cooking, baking, arts and crafts, and she’s a firm believer that all dogs are the best dogs. You’re going to love Mel just as much as we do.
We ask her why she chose Ramapo, what was special about being a founding member of Alpha Omicron Pi, what it was like being Panhellenic Council President, how Monmouth University was different from Ramapo, the best part of being a higher ed professional, what she does as Director of Education and Programs, what it’s like being a female working for a men’s fraternity, what chapters should be focusing on right now, success stories from Alpha Chi Rho, and we even got her to commit to her favorite restaurant in New Jersey. Enjoy!
