How to dress for an interview, for students? Gayla Bentley is here. Gayla has dedicated her life to helping others become comfortable in their own body through discovering their personal style. Gayla perceives obstacles as opportunities, always looking for the next new thing to learn and to educate people about style, while having fun doing it. Her campaign for size inclusivity and her desire to bring style to women with curves has been a lifelong pursuit. Residing in Houston, Texas with her husband, Russell and their dog, Skipper Bentley, Gayla says though she grew up in Westerly, Rhode Island and lives in Houston, Texas, her heart is at home in Paris.

In episode 564 of the Fraternity Foodie Podcast, we find out how early in life Gayla knew that fashion was going to be her career, why she decided on the University of Rhode Island, some of the challenges she faced early on as a designer, what happened after she pitched her business on Shark Tank, how college students should dress for an interview, why she wrote the book “Fashion’s Stepsister: A Journey to Style”, and advice she would give to students struggling with self-image or feeling confident in their bodies.
