PRESENTATION: From Ritual to Renewal: Leadership for Lasting Organizational Change

Fraternities and sororities are more than social organizations—they are laboratories of leadership and culture. Yet, lasting change in any organization is never easy. Drawing from her doctoral research and professional experience, Dr. Cristina Luna, Associate Dean of Students at the University of Miami and National President of NALFO, explores how the science of organizational change intersects with the lived realities of student leadership.

In this engaging keynote, students will learn how to recognize the barriers to progress in their chapters and councils, inspire buy-in from their peers, and implement strategies that make change stick. Through real-world examples and interactive reflection, Dr. Luna challenges students to see themselves not only as chapter officers but as change agents capable of reshaping campus culture for the better.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this keynote, participants will be able to:

1. Understand the principles of organizational change and how they apply to fraternity and sorority leadership.
2. Identify common barriers to change within their chapters and councils and strategies to overcome them.
3. Develop skills for inspiring and sustaining member buy-in, even when change feels uncomfortable or disruptive.
4. Create a personal leadership action plan to implement positive, lasting change in their organizations and communities.

PRESENTATION: The After Party: Staying Greek After Graduation

Joining a fraternity or sorority is only the beginning. The true impact of membership extends far beyond college—shaping careers, friendships, service, and personal growth for a lifetime. Yet too often, members lose sight of the bigger picture, focusing only on the short-term instead of the lifelong commitment that makes fraternity and sorority so powerful.

In this keynote, Dr. Cristina Luna will challenge students to think beyond their undergraduate years and discover how to cultivate a culture where lifelong membership thrives. Drawing on her experience as Associate Dean of Students, National President of NALFO, and a leader in organizational change, Dr. Luna will share strategies to ignite passion, strengthen bonds, and ensure members stay engaged for decades to come. Students will leave inspired to fuel the fire of brotherhood and sisterhood in ways that create lasting legacy.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this keynote, participants will be able to:

1. Recognize the long-term value of fraternity and sorority membership beyond the undergraduate experience.
2. Explore strategies to deepen connection and belonging within their chapters and alumni networks.
3. Identify actions undergraduate members can take now to encourage lifelong engagement, giving, and service.
4. Create a vision for sustaining their organization’s legacy, ensuring future generations benefit from the bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood.

PRESENTATION: Amplify the Legacy: Recruiting with Purpose & Pride

Through reflective dialogue and analysis participants will explore how to identify key barriers to recruitment, highlight their value on campus, and position their organizations for long-term success. This experience will empower members to strengthen recruitment strategy, increase their visibility, and chart a clear path for growth and impact.

Proposed learning environment:
