Speakers for Student Athletes

We believe in the leadership of your student athletes!

Greek University is excited to announce that we have started a new division dedicated to coaches, athletic directors, and, of course, their athletes. We think this service is doubly needed in this age of uncertainty. Since 2015, we have changed behavior in the long term and created safer campuses by leveraging the leadership on college campuses, including thousands of student athletes. Our favorite moment? Watching all the 'ahas' go off in student's minds as we help them solve problems with our campus keynote presentations, leadership conferences, and workshops. This could be in person for presentations up to 4,000 students or virtual presentations in online town halls with up to 1,000 students, as well as online modules to engage your students.

We would like to offer you free, ready-made lesson plans on motivation and structure to help you right now. You can view those two lesson plan summaries and download them below. In addition, our speakers are ready to serve your student athletes. Just choose from the blue menu above any topics to engage your students. Read our speaker's bio, presentation summary, learning objectives, and testimonials. Then contact us to reserve your speaker for either in person or virtual presentations. We look forward to serving you!

Free Lesson Plan #1: Motivation for Student Athletes During COVID-19

The COVID-19 pandemic has thrown a curveball to athletic programs all over the country. Athletes don't know what the upcoming season will look like or if there
will be a season at all. Questions are swirling about how long this social distancing last, as well as how will the virus affect my training, my finances, and my college
career. How can I be motivated to train when the season may be cancelled? Should I watch Netflix non-stop or just eat my sorrows away?

It's easy to forget about the mental and physical benefits of regular exercise, especially when in isolation. Instead of focusing on things the athletes can't control (such as the virus), it's time to put the focus internally. What are my personal goals? Where do I want to be in six months? What improvements can I make over the next year? What has been holding me back?

Who would benefit from this lesson plan? College student athletes, teams, and student organizations.

Free Lesson Plan #2: Structure for Student Athletes During COVID-19

College student athletes are feeling the impact of COVID-19 through events and seasons being cancelled, training facilities closing, and stakeholders all scrambling to develop contingency plans. Fear, anxiety, loss, confusion, exhaustion, frustration, and anger are all common feelings for our students right now.

The feeling of isolation from teams can cause decisions of instant gratification over long-term success, lacking a specific, day-to-day productivity plan, as well as procrastination. With some structure during these uncertain times, it will help students to manage the stress, fight off illness, and maintain positive mental health. Time management skills give us control over our decisions and what we prioritize. Time blocking will help us solidify routines, be deliberate about self care such as sleep and exercise, and reestablish feelings of control and comfort.

Who will benefit from this lesson plan? College student athletes, teams, and student organizations.
