Michael Ayalon, CEO of Greek University, held a training session on August 10th, 2016 at the Fort Lauderdale Marriott Harbor Beach Resort & Spa to teach Alpha Epsilon Pi’s fraternity leaders from all over the world how to prevent drunk driving, underage drinking, and alcohol abuse. Student participants from the United States, France, Canada, the UK, and Israel during Epsilon Pi’s 103rd Convention to become certified in the TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) program, designed to show students why, when, and how to intervene with their peers to prevent alcohol related problems.

TIPS training enhances the people skills of the students to develop a new sense of expertise, confidence, and sense of control over their campus environment. Program participants are trained by certified instructors to detect the signs of intoxication and gain the confidence needed to intervene effectively. Students also learned to identify underage people and people who are already intoxicated.

Students on over 1,200 campuses have been trained in this innovative program designed specifically for University students. Since implementing the program, several top Universities have seen a significant reduction in the number of alcohol-related incidents.
